ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED UNDER 'AZADI KA AMRUT MAHOTSAV' AT ARMED FORCES TRAINING INSTITUTES (MARCH 2022)
National Defence Academy Activities conducted at NDA to impress upon the 'AKAM' spirit for the month of Mar 22 are depicted below:-

CROSS COUNTRY COMPETITION
Guest/ Motivational Lecture. Talk by Shri Baba Kalyani, Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Forge Limited on 'Self Reliance in India's Defence Industry' impressing upon the importance of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' was conducted for Cadets and Faculty on 16 Feb 22 at Habibullah Hall.
Talks by Military Leaders / Distinguished Speakers. In order to enhance the spirit of adventurism, a talk by Wg Cdr Nirupama Pandey on 'My Experience on Mount Everest Summit' was conducted for cadets and faculty on 03 Mar 22.
Cross Training Visits. To impress upon the spirit of jointness amongst the three services (Army, Navy and Air Force), Cross Training Visits were organized to various establishments. Importance of being self-reliant in defence production and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' was impressed upon the cadets during the visit.

Military Institute of Technology.
Cycling Expedition. To celebrate the spirit of AKAM, a cycling expedition was undertaken on 06 Mar 22 by a team of cyclists for approx 30 kms around Pune.
Trek to Sinhgad Fort.
A trek to Sinhgad Fort was conducted on 09 Mar 22 with an aim to inculcate a spirit of adventure, sportsmanship and physical fitness. The opportunity was utilised to spread awareness about 75th anniversary of India's Independence.
Entertainment Pgme. Music concerts were organised on 27 and 28 Mar 22 as part of AKAM celebrations. The concerts were titled 'Ekam Satt'. The evening celebrated the patriotic zest and magnificent musical culture of India. The music concerts at MILIT appropriately honoured the valour of our men and women in uniform and their selfless service to the nation.
College of Defence Management
Shaheed Diwas Celebration. The Purple Pacers & Tri-cyclers club of CDM undertook a 25 km cycling event and 11 km cross country around the vicinity of CDM on 23 Mar 22 to commemorate the Shaheed Diwas. It witnessed active participation by the ladies and children.
Giving and Sharing with Dignity. As a part of the DWWA initiative, various items collected from the CDM fraternity was handed over to Goonj Team on 25 Mar 22 as a part of the 'Giving and Sharing' spirit.
Media Bites. A few of the events conducted by CDM were covered by the media.
Defence Services Staff College
Trek to Pakasura Peak. To commemorate the AKAM spirit, a trek was organised on 12 Mar 22 by DSSC. A total of 28 kms was covered to Pakasura Peak and back by over 500 participants incl children.
Cultural Evening. A cultural evening was organised in Sekhon Hall as part of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav on 25 Mar 22. The event included rendition of folk songs, traditional dances, band, skits and costume display.
Mountain Biking. Mtn Biking was conducted on 26 Mar 22 in two batches. The distance for the hike was 50 km and 100 km which started from Trishakti complex and terminated at Gateway Coonoor.
