Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations at Military Institute of Technology (MILIT).
MILIT was established on 19 Jan 2012 when it was carved out of Defence Institute of Advanced Technology a deemed University and grants - in - aid institution under DRDO. MILIT continued to function under HQ DRDO from 2012 to 31 Mar 2015 and then was constituted as an Armed Forces Training Institute under HQ IDS wef 01 Apr 2015. MILIT is located at Girinagar,Pune.
The technologists conducted a Cycling Expedition on 26 Sep 2021 & 03 Oct 2021 from MILIT to Osadjai temple and back, to commemorate 75th anniversary of India’s Independence. 79 Student & four staff offrs participated in the event.
MILIT also organised Tree Plantationdrive in which 75 trees were plantedby course students.
MILIT conducted a hike of 50 Officers including 15 International Student Officersto Sinhgad fort on 18 Aug 2021. The aim of the trek was to to spread awareness about 75th anniversary of India’s Independence amongst local populace as alsoinculcate spirit of adventure, sportsmanship and physical fitness in the participants. On reaching the top the officers were briefed on the historical importance of the fort and its strategic location. The famous battle, which was fought on the fort was also briefed to the participants.
MILIT Badminton Championship was conducted for students from 02 Aug 2021 to 17 Aug 2021to commemorate 75th anniversary of our Independence. 84 Student officers (including two Foreign Officers) took part in the tournament.
