Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Celebration at College of Defence Management(CDM).
CDM was established as Institute of Defence Management in Dec 1970, with the purpose of imparting management education, to enhance effectiveness of the Armed Forces. The Institute was renamed as CDM in 1985.CDM tricyclers organized a cycle ride named Azadi ki Pehli Kiran - Rani Abbakka Chowk Ride on 04 Jul 21.It was aimed at encouraging physical fitness especially amongst ladies and children.
The ECO Club of CDM organized a tree Plantation Drive on 16 Jul 2021, with the concept Humara Vatavaran Evum Humara Itihaas – Van Mahotsav. Children were educated on the importance of protection of forests, the need to stop deforestation and practice the 3R rule - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
CDM also conducted a painting competition for children on 14 Aug 2021 to mark the 75th Independence Day. With the focus on Humara Swarnim Itihaas, the Eco-Warrior Club of CDM, aimed to educate the future citizens of the country about our great nation.The Purple Pacers Club CDM organized a fitness run as part of the Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav. The run and fun walk included ladies and children and was aimed at celebrating the Spirit of Freedom.Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was also celebrated, in convergence with Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav, at CDM. Activities like Unity Pledge,screening of movie ‘Sardar’, Loh-Purush Ride and Unity Marathon were conducted.
