College of Defence Management is an NAAC A+ grade accredited premier tri-Services institution imparting management training to officers from the Armed forces, Para Military Forces, Friendly Foreign countries Ministry of Defence and provides consultancy support in management, in accordance with the laid down directions and policy approved by the COSC.
Affiliated to the All Indian Management Association, International Project Management Association and the Osmania University, CDM is entrusted with the responsibility of imparting knowledge on contemporary concepts in Defence Management to senior leadership to enhance integrated effectiveness of Armed Forces. It imparts education on strategic thinking, higher leadership and contemporary management skills to the future leaders of Indian Armed Forces. With its well-conceived and dynamic curriculum, evolved andragogy, selected faculty members and contemporary best- in- class teaching resources, the college has contributed significantly in shaping the growth and development of the higher leadership echelons for the Armed Forces. CDM has emerged as an institute of repute which trains more than 500 officers every year.
The College motto, “Naipunyat Vijayo Dhruvam”, an inspiration from the Bhagwat Gita, continuously exhorts all members of CDM to objectively strive for “Victory through Excellence”.
CDM functions under the HQs Integrated Defence Staff. The College is commanded by a two star General Officer in rotation from the three services. Presently Air Vice Marshal Pawan Mohey, VSM is the Commandant.
